Notice about Submitting Pre-requisite Course Exemption Application

Submission period on Info21 system: From 23. 10. 04(Wed) ~ 23. 10. 13(Fri)

- Pre-requisite Course Exemption Application

- This semester, you have to submit the application form and relating documents through Info21 by yourself and the Head of department will approve it once it is accepted for the course exemption.

How to apply through Info21

1) I have attached guideline of how to apply through In21 system. Please refer to it. 


2) Attach your original undergraduate (If you're in Master's) / Master's degree (If you're in Ph.D) transcript and Pre-requisite Form on Info21.

*You have to mark with a highlighter or red pen on the subject that needs be exemption on your transcript*

Article 6 (Prerequisite Courses)


① The following individuals are required to complete prerequisite courses as specified below:


1. Target Individuals: Those who have obtained a degree in fields other than Tourism and Hospitality Management (excluding graduates of related departments), or those who have entered the lower-level degree program in a different field (major) must complete prerequisite credits. However, Business Administration majors are also recognized as related departments.


2. Prerequisite Course Credit Requirements: 9 credits for master's programs, 12 credits for doctoral programs (all prerequisite courses must be taken in English).


3. Prerequisite Course List: Refer to <Appendix 3. Prerequisite Course List>.


② If it is determined that the completed courses have relevance to Global Hospitality and Tourism Management, credit recognition can be applied for by submitting a credit recognition application form and the original transcript of the lower-level degree program, obtaining confirmation from the department head, and receiving approval from the dean of the graduate school to be exempted from some or all of the prerequisite credits.


<Appendix 3. Prerequisite Course List>

  1. -Master's Program: Those who are eligible must complete major required and major elective courses offered in English in the College of Hotel and Tourism Management, including the Hospitality Management Department, Culinary and Food Design Department, and the Tourism and Entertainment Department (Tourism and Cultural Entertainment Department).


  2. -Doctoral Program: Those who are eligible must complete major elective courses offered in English in the Graduate School programs, including the Hotel Management Department, Tourism Department, Convention and Exhibition Management Department, Culinary and Food Service Management Department, Cultural Tourism Contents Department, Global Hospitality and Tourism Management Department, and the Smart Tourism Institute programs.
